Our Team

Sian Kevill - Founding Director

Sian is a highly successful creative business leader in the field of television news and current affairs, recently conducting a pioneering report published by the RISJ, which assessed audience responses to branded TV content in Hong Kong, the US and the UK. Before this, she was an award-winning editor of BBC current affairs programmes and the successful head of the BBC’s commercial international news division, leading the company to its first operating profit in its 19-year history.

Sarah Macdonald - Founding Director

An award-winning investigative journalist, Sarah has conceived and produced documentaries for, among others, the BBC, CNN, CNA and Channel 4 Dispatches. Renowned for making hard-hitting films that have significant social impact, her undercover investigation into familial child abuse in Liverpool lead to three men being jailed for 100 years and subsequently won her a BAFTA (Best New Director).

Brad Cox - Head of Content & Development

Brad has over 25 years in the television industry, and has directed, produced and programmed all types of television shows throughout the world. His career highlights include producing and directing 7 programs that have won Asian Television Awards, and winning the International Emmy in 2013 for the Amazing Race Australia. Brad has also created a number of highly successful original programs in a number of markets, and was responsible for the iconic Bule Gila (Bugil) in Indonesia and Can You Serve in Singapore. Whilst living in Indonesia, Brad was Head Of Content for the national network ANTV and took them from 11th to 5th position in the ratings in 6 months, in their 16 year history they have never been higher than 9th and are now consistently the number one network.

Mags Scholes - Head of Production

Mags uniquely combines over 20 years of heading up international productions with hands on technical skill. She has supervised award-winning production across Asia, UK, Australia, the Pacific Islands, the US, Canada and Europe as well as working on the ground in Central America and Africa. She is well versed in all facets of production including studio, location, live and OB across various content mediums. For fun, she rides classic motorcycles to remote destinations.

Eamon T. O Connor - Executive Producer

Eamon is an award-winning documentary maker and journalist who started his career in the UK with ITV’s renowned current affairs series World In Action. Eamon has also produced investigative documentaries and series from the US, Central America, the Middle East, India and Africa.

Hoe Yeen Nie – Executive Producer

Yeen Nie is an award-winning producer-director with over 10 years’ experience in journalism and programme-making. She was formerly at Channel NewsAsia, where she made documentaries on social issues across Asia. These include two ground-breaking series notable for taking a no-holds- barred examination of poverty and academic failure in Singapore, as well as documentaries on North Korean defectors in South Korea, factory safety in Bangladesh, and disabled orphans in China. Several of her shows have been nominated for the Asian Television Awards, and a documentary on “left behind” children in China won Silver at the New York Festivals in 2017.

Leo Gizzi - Series Producer/Director

Leo is an award-winning television producer with experience across a wide range of genres from investigative documentary, current affairs, business and art. His films have covered topics including the Erawan Shrine bombing in Bangkok in 2015, child MMA fighters in London and a behind-the-scenes look at the rise of Lego. Leo joined MAKE as an intern five years ago and his work has now broadcast on Channel 4, Bloomberg and Channel NewsAsia.

Dora Claire David - Production Coordinator

Dora’s career has already extended into many different entertainment mediums, including television, TVC, Theatre and Visual Arts. Her  TV Commercials experience has been with high profile clients such as Starhub and Facebook and her television includes  Bloomberg’s Brilliant Ideas, Channel NewsAsia’s Undercover Asia series, Rebellion in Marawi, Inside the Storm and Edible Wild – amongst others. Her production coordinator experience has seen her logistically organize crew and personnel in many different situations globally. Dora speaks four languages including English, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil and some German. When she’s not busy sorting out international shoots, you’ll find her head behind a good book, rocking along to some industrial metal tunes.

Marcos O'Donnell – Production Coordinator

Marcos joined MAKE as a Production Coordinator in 2017. He is fascinated by both film-making and Asian culture, this being the perfect role for him to pursue both passions. Prior to MAKE, Marcos lived in China for a year, freelanced in different international feature films, including Hong Kong and Bollywood productions, and relocated to London where he worked as a Production and Marketing Coordinator for a creative agency.

Syahirah A. Karim – Assistant Producer

Syahirah has worked on factual programmes across a range of genres, from current affairs to business, and culture. She made a career transition by joining MAKE as an intern in 2016, armed with a science academic background, an eye for photography, and experiences from her stints in academia and government service. Syahirah has since worked on programmes for Al Jazeera, BBC, and Channel NewsAsia.

Naqiyah Shapudin - Assistant Producer

Naqiyah joined MAKE as an intern in 2016, and has since become an assistant producer with the company. With a passion for social issues and storytelling, she has worked as a researcher for the BBC Heart of Asia series, and more recently, was part of the team for Channel NewsAsia’s info-entertainment series, Edible Wild. She is currently an assistant producer on Bloomberg’s flagship art series, Brilliant Ideas, and Channel NewsAsia’s investigative series, Undercover Asia.

Nur 'Aisyah Amir – Editor

Nur ‘Aisyah has been editing since 2013 when her love for visuals spurred her to join the industry. She has worked on a variety of drama programmes for Singapore’s local channels but a change of heart led ‘Aisyah to MAKE Productions where she started working on hard-hitting documentaries and factual programmes. In less than a year, ‘Aisyah moved up from the co-pilot seat when she took full control in editing full length episodes of “Brilliant Ideas”, Bloomberg’s flagship art documentary series. Since then, she has diversified into different genres, editing for programmes such as award winning business series, Inside the Storm and info entertainment series, Edible Wild.

Nur Amirah Mohd Ripin - Assistant Editor

Having been exposed only to drama programmes, Amirah decided to venture out and work on factual programmes and documentaries. She joined MAKE as an intern in 2017 and is now assisting in post production for programmes like Undercover Asia. Other than editing, she has production experience as a casting assistant as well. She has been editing since 2015 and it has motivated her to continue, to expand her skills and knowledge in editing for documentaries.
