Our Team

Sian Kevill - Founding Director

Sian is a highly successful creative business leader in the field of television news and current affairs, recently conducting a pioneering report published by the RISJ, which assessed audience responses to branded TV content in Hong Kong, the US and the UK. Before this, she was an award-winning editor of BBC current affairs programmes and the successful head of the BBC’s commercial international news division, leading the company to its first operating profit in its 19-year history.

Sarah Macdonald - Founding Director

An award-winning investigative journalist, Sarah has conceived and produced documentaries for, among others, the BBC, CNN, CNA and Channel 4 Dispatches. Renowned for making hard-hitting films that have significant social impact, her undercover investigation into familial child abuse in Liverpool lead to three men being jailed for 100 years and subsequently won her a BAFTA (Best New Director).

Raymond Wong - Director

Raymond has more than 20 years of senior management experience in the publishing and digital media sectors in Asia. He is currently the President of the Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore as well as the Chairman of the Asian Television Awards. He serves as Director of MAKE Productions in Singapore.

Eamon T. O Connor - Executive Producer

Eamon is an award-winning documentary maker and journalist who started his career in the UK with ITV’s renowned current affairs series World In Action. Eamon has also produced investigative documentaries and series from the US, Central America, the Middle East, India and Africa.

Hafizah Abdul Wahid - Senior Producer

Hafizah is a multidisciplinary producer-director who has worked across a broad variety of genres from science and technology, natural history, travel, and art. She has produced programmes for clients such as Bloomberg Television, Discovery Networks, the National Geographic Channel and Channel NewsAsia. In 2013, her multi-award winning film “Himalayan Tsunami” smashed records and became Discovery India’s highest-rated programme when it aired in December that year. She is currently the Series Producer for Bloomberg’s flagship art series, “Brilliant Ideas”.

Leo Gizzi - Producer/Director

Leo is an award-winning television producer with experience across a wide range of genres from investigative documentary, current affairs, business and art.   His films have covered topics including the Erawan Shrine bombing in Bangkok in 2015, child MMA fighters in London and a behind-the-scenes look at the rise of Lego.   Leo joined MAKE as an intern five years ago and his work has now broadcast on Channel 4, Bloomberg and Channel NewsAsia.

Joyce Leong – Assistant Producer

Joyce joined MAKE Productions in 2016 as a Development Assistant Producer. She ventured into the dynamic world of factual television production in pursuit of her fascination with visual storytelling and journalism. Joyce has previously worked as a Researcher and Assistant Producer for a variety of investigative, history and human interest documentaries for Channel NewsAsia, Channel 5 and Channel 8.

Sam Taylor - Assistant Producer

Sam has worked on a wide variety of visual media programmes including high budget TV commercials, natural history and even children’s programming, but his passion is for documentaries. As well as working in production, Sam also shoots and edits. He has worked for broadcasters such as Sky, BBC, CBBC and HBO.

Syahirah A. Karim – Assistant Producer

With a science academic background, Syahirah is new to the industry, after making a career transition by joining MAKE as intern in August 2016. She moved up to work as a researcher on the ‘Garuda’ episode of “Back from the Brink: Lessons from the Boardroom” series for Channel NewsAsia, and the ‘Jakarta School Brawl’ episode of Al Jazeera’s 101 East series.

Mags Scholes - Production Manager

Having supervised production in Singapore, Australia and UK, Mags has worked across a wide range of genres and formats. Her work includes international co productions, long and short form documentary, studio record and live to air, outside broadcast and drama series.

Dora Claire David – Production Coordinator

Graduating from LASALLE College of the Arts with a background in visual arts management, Dora has always sought gratification by putting together productions and managing all of its components. Her interests have allowed her to work with different mediums –  from the visual arts to theatre and music, and now, documentary productions. When she’s not busy chasing for invoices and manpower allocation, you’ll find her head behind a good book, rocking along to some industrial metal tunes.

Marcos O'Donnell – Production Coordinator

Marcos joined MAKE as a Production Coordinator in 2017. He is fascinated by both film-making and Asian culture, this being the perfect role for him to pursue both passions. Prior to MAKE, Marcos lived in China for a year, freelanced in different international feature films, including Hong Kong and Bollywood productions, and relocated to London where he worked as a Production and Marketing Coordinator for a creative agency.

Nur 'Aisyah Amir – Junior Editor

Nur ‘Aisyah has been editing since 2013 when her love for visuals spurred her to join the industry. She has worked on a variety of programmes for Singapore’s local channels but a change of heart led ‘Aisyah to MAKE Productions where she started off editing trailers and webisodes for hard-hitting documentaries. In less than a year, ‘Aisyah moved up from the co-pilot seat when she took full control in editing full length episodes of “Brilliant Ideas”, Bloomberg’s flagship art documentary series.

How Pei Chun – Accountant

Pei Chun is the Accountant at MAKE Productions. She joined MAKE on 1 November 2014. In her role, she provides effective ways of ensuring that the financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported in accordance with the financial plan of the company. She has gained extensive auditing experience as a Senior Auditor for Baker Tilly TFW LLP, Singapore.
